In November 2007, our then newly formed church participated in our first Samaritan’s purse “Operation Christmas Child” shoebox ministry. In each of our shoeboxes, we included a copy of the gospel tract “Am I going to Heaven” (see www.gosharethegospel.com/quiz.html), with our church contact information, (including our website and e-mail address) on the back. A few months later, we received an e-mail from Pastor Augustine Venkat. Somehow, the Providential Hand of our Lord placed a copy of our gospel tract into the hand of Pastor Augustine as a result of some of the shoeboxes that made their way to his village. Pastor Augustine and I began to correspond via e-mail, and our church began to support him and his family and ministry in India with our prayers, and as the Lord leads, we have supported them financially. The Lord is at work there in India, and we are blessed to be a small part of it.
